KMC Wheel -Ride In Style
For those fans of aftermarket wheels for their car, truck or SUV it’s a fact that style is second nature to KMC rockstar wheels. This maker of good-looking and well-built wheel and tire packages also suffuses its lineup with value throughout, which should be a comfort to those looking to buy a set of wheels while maximizing their investment in today’s shaky economic environment. They’re so well made, in fact, they’ll be sure to be worth their retail price.
There are two main lines of KMC rims and wheels: XD Series and Lorenzo Forged. The former is probably the more common of the two lineups, though that by no means should imply that any wheel in the KD Series would be cheap or “common” in a negative way. One reason this is so is because XDs are more for the truck enthusiast. This fact is supported by the size of some of these units, which run up past 24 inches.
The Lorenzo Forged series of KMC wheels feature what the company calls its “Super Lip Technology, ” which is a trademark of a KMC unit made for a car or truck. These wheel and tire packages are extremely well-detailed and they come in a wide variety of finishes, styles and colors. Both XD and Lorenzo wheels also feature various bolt patterns and functional and decorative lips, all of which help to contribute to their overall look.
KMC offers an extremely strong wheel warranty, with the original purchaser being protected against wheel failure due to structural defect for the life of the wheel. A one-year warranty is offered that also protects the original purchaser against problems with materials or workmanship from the date of purchase. This should serve to comfort buyers looking to protect their investment.
The company divides its offering among several different categories, including truck/SUV, passenger car and three different types of XD series; XD Enduro Beadlock, for true desert driving and in sizes ranging from 15 inches up to 17 inches, and XD SYS, which feature the Enduro and Badlands lines. There is also the above-mentioned XD Series of general truck/SUV wheels.
The Lorenzo lineup in suffused with uniqueness and style throughout the line. They’re listed in the catalog by their “WL” notation, with some such styles available in 26 inches, which is a quite large wheel that’ll be sure to make a truck or car stand out no matter the environment (street, trail, show etc.)
Glossy black finishes are a big seller, lately, with fans of KMC rims and wheels. No matter whether the vehicle is very upmarket or whether its a straight-from-the-assembly-line edition from Detroit, a set of KMCs is sure to impart a great deal of style — and even a bit of menace, in certain circumstances — to just about any application. They’re all very well made and they’re even referred to as “eye candy” by certain of their fans.
KMC XD wheels aren’t the cheapest aftermarket cars tires going these days, though they’re certainly not the most expensive, either. Given their average 250 to 500-dollar retail price, and the fact that they’re so extremely well-built and stylish, most fans of KMC would say they’re worth their asking price. Given all that, it’s hard to see any downside to them when it comes to making just about any car or truck look even better than it did before.
