How hard is it to change a rear wheel bearing on a 1996 Subaru Outback?
Ok so i think the wheel bearing or the cv joint is bad. It sometimes makes a grinding metal on metal sound at slow speeds and sometimes I can feel a vibration at slow speeds come from the left rear tire. Cv joint boot is not torn so thats why I think its the wheel bearing. And its got disc brakes in the back if that matters at all.
And if anybody knows where I can find a manual online on doing this that would be great.
I wouldn’t try it unless you have access to a hydraulic press. It is more trouble than it is worth without the proper tools and equipment.
